DECLARATION OF CONSENT
Thank you for your interest in Demodesk. The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to us.
Below you'll find details regarding how we record and use the information you provide while browsing and using our website and application.
Products and Services
The SaaS enables you to share an online browsing session (“Session”) of a website or web-application chosen by you (the“Target WebApp”) with third parties chosen by you, e.g. your customers. When using the SaaS you can upload and share your own documents (the “User Generated Content”). Sharing a Session of the Target WebApp as well as sharing User Generated Content immanently requires certain sharing of information that may include Personal Data. We collect the following information about your Session and Target WebApp:
- Session URL
- Target WebApp URL,
- screen resolution,
- names of all session participants,
- IP addresses of all session participants,
- telephone numbers of session participants using the provided dial-in audio conference line; and
- time-stamps of account registration.
Like many companies, we store all Demodesk data on Digital Ocean cloud solution provided
exclusively on servers located in the EU.
Storing User Generated Content on Digital Ocean may be deemed as contract data processing (the “Contract Data Processing”) depending on the information stored in the User Generated Content. Contract Data Processing will be subject to a separate agreement.
We use these information only to provide you with the best possible Demodesk SaaS. We may do this by sending a "digital fingerprint" of your Session. However, we remove any Personal Data. We store certain information regarding the URLs browsed in a Session [in an anonymized manner] and use it for debugging, statistical purposes and to improve our SaaS. We provide speech analytics services. Our services enable you, at your express request, to record, analyze and share for a limited period of time the recordings of the audio, video and screen sharing stream during a Session (the “Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recording”) including associated data and documentation. At your express request, we transcribe and analyze Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings (the “Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis”) e.g. for keywords or content shared. The Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings and Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis may contain Personal Data.
Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings
Customersshall please be advised that for any Sessions you attend, Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings can be enabled by a Session host. By signing up for our SaaS or otherwise using them in any way, including without limitation by attending any Session, you expressly acknowledge that we may, if instructed by a Session host, make and store an Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recording of a Session, and may make the respective Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings available to hosts and other Customers at the direction of the Session host. A Session host may also send an audio notification to Customers who are logged into the Session, provided that you may not receive such notifications if you disable them in your account settings, so please check before each Session if you want to receive the notifications. If you do not want to be recorded, you can choose to leave the Session.
Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis
Customersshall please be advised that for any Sessions you attend, Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis including Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recording can be enabled by a Session host. By signing up for our SaaS or otherwise using them in any way, including without limitation by attending any Session, you expressly acknowledge that we may, if instructed by a Session host, make and store an Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recording and Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis of a Session, and may make the respective Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Recordings and/or Audio, Video and Screen Sharing Analysis available to hosts and other Customers at the direction of the Session host. A Session host may also send an audio notification to Customers who are logged into the Session, provided that you may not receive such notifications if you disable them in your account settings, so please check before each Session if you want to receive the notifications. If you do not want to be recorded, you can choose to leave the Session.
Your Demodesk Account
In order to activate and/or use some of our SaaS, you will need to create an account (“Account”). During the process of setting up your Account, we will ask you for certain Personal Data such as your
- e-mail address;
- personal name;
- company name;
- company website;
- IP Address; and
- Time-stamp of Account registration.
We need this information to allow you to activate, manage or use your Demodesk products and services. We mayassociate your email address and other Personal Data (such as name, telephone number and address) with your Account and access of our products or services. For further information, please see the User Experience and Statistics section below.
If you do not agree to such a data transfer, please use your Demodesk Account as a login instead of Google Sign-In
Inviting others to use our products or services
You can invite a third party, e.g. your customer, to try our SaaS via email, Google etc. To use the email invite feature, you will have to enter the third party’s email address (which is Personal Data). Demodesk will then send your invitation to the email address you provide. This email invitation will contain your Personal Data (including your name and the email address you entered into your Account). Please do not do this without getting consent from the third party. If you choose to share the invitation via Facebook, Twitter or Google, you will need to log in to each service. We will interface with the respective API in order to share a link inviting the third party to our SaaS.
You can visit most areas of the Demodesk website without disclosing any Personal Data. Demodesk only logs the domain name, IP address and browser type of our website visitors via our web server log files and analytics tools at irregular intervals. We use this information to log global access to our website.
For our SaaS we will ask that you provide sign-up an Account at Demodesk – see above“Account”.
In some cases, you will be unable to complete a particular step in the process if you do not want to provide the information requested. For example, we will ask for Personal Data in the following instances:
- If you use our online technical support or ask questions about our products and services using the contact form or the contact options on our website, we will ask you to give us Personal Data required for processing the support request. This can include your email address, name and address, as well as information about your computer hardware and software and the type of problem you have.
- If you have requested a test license on our website, in order to activate such license, you may have to provide Personal Data, such as an email address.
- If you request a service from us via our website.
- If you participate in a survey on our website.
- If you subscribe to a newsletter. If you signed up for a newsletter and no longer want to receive it, you can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the email or by sending us an email using the contact information provided below.
We use HubSpot services to provide online forms. For this reason, we grant HubSpot access to your data to solely

a. The offer of Online Content
Demodesk is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We will only use your personal information to provide you the content you requested from us. From time to time, we will contact you about our product, as well as other content that may be of your interest. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time. To supply you with online content, we collect specific data from you. This includes:
- Data collected: email address, first name, company name, if you have an inside sales team in your company and if you are interested in having a Demo with Demodesk.
- Purpose: Personalized content & solutions
- Storage period: Your data is held until it is no longer necessary and does not achieve its original purpose.
User Experience and Statistics
We use our own technology (including soft authentication systems, storage and messaging engines, databases and big data repositories) to perform statistical evaluations using pseudonymized user profiles. We do this to optimize your experience with our products and provide relevant content and advertisements. If you utilize multiple email addresses to access your Demodesk Account, we may tie those emails to one profile. We may combine information we gather about your use of one product or service with your use of another product or service.
We also use the information we collect to offer you content, search results and advertisements that will be of most interest to you. We believe more relevant advertising provides a better Internet experience. This is also how we support our business while still providing certain products or services to you free of charge. As part of this process, we may collect information about how you use and interact with the advertisements that we offer. We may also use information about how you use our products and services across various Devices. Based on this Device-specific information (for example, the hardware model, operating system, version, device, mobile network information including your phone number) and the unique application number assigned to some of our products and services, we may be able to compile a personal profile about you.

solution with which we cover various aspects of our service delivery. In particular, we provide a limited
amount of your information (such as sign-up date and some personal information like your email address)
to Intercom, Inc. (“Intercom”) and utilize Intercom to collect data for analytics purposes when you visit our
website or use our product. As a data processor acting on our behalf, Intercom analyzes your use of our website
and/or product and tracks our relationship by way of cookies and similar technologies so that we can improve our
service to you.
We may also use Intercom as a medium for communications, either through email, or through messages within our product(s). As part of our service agreements, Intercom collects publicly available contact and social information related to you, such as your email address, gender, company, job title, photos, website URLs, social network handles and physical addresses, to enhance your user experience.

We use Segment, Inc. for collecting usage data ("Segment"). Segment is a software company from the USA. Segment collects and sends analytics data to other analytics services and swaps and adds analytics services to cover various aspects of our service delivery. As a data processor acting on our behalf, Segment analyzes your use of our website and/or product and tracks our relationship by way of cookies and similar technologies so that we can improve our service to you.

We use FullStory service provided by Fullstory Inc ("FullStory") (818 Marietta Street, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA). FullStory is an analysis service that records user behavior on our website. These visitor session records allow us to evaluate them and then improve the website experience for visitors. FullStory stores and collects data anonymously using cookies. Legal basis for data processing in the context of the use of FullStory is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO based on our legitimate interest in the user-friendly design of our website.

Sharing information with third parties
Demodesk does not forward or sell Personal Data to third parties. If we work with advertising and publishing partners, we will only share non-Personal Data as fully explained below.
However, we may engage other companies to process data on our behalf. For example, we work together with Stripe (https://stripe.com) to provide you with a convenient way to order, pay for our SaaS. With any such provider, we will only share Personal Data if we have an appropriate data processing agreement in place. We will only transfer the minimum amount of Personal Data we need in order for the data processing to occur. Such companies must adhere strictly to data protection legislation. They must also treat your Personal Data confidentially and use it only for providing us the data processing services. They must not use your Personal Data for their own business purposes. As we are a global corporation, we may store and process your personal information on a server outside the country where you live.
Finally, Demodesk may disclose your Personal Data if we are required by law to provide it to governmental agencies, courts or other authorities.
Protecting Personal Data
We have put in place lawful and industry-standard safeguards to protect your Personal Data. For example, your credit card information is transmitted in encrypted form using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. We do this to make sure that your Personal Data is not lost, harmed, lost or deleted.
Anyone at Demodesk who has access to Personal Data has been trained in the proper and lawful way such data should be handled.
Viewing, correcting, blocking and deleting Personal Data
